This Sunday was a busy, but fun, day. My sister Miranda and I took a mini road-trip with our friend Eowyn and her sister Arwen to Downtown Dahlonega to see the play Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. We were a few minutes late because the GPS decided to take us on a side trail as payback when we stopped for lunch/coffee. And then we had to walk across the square to reach the Holly Theater (click here to visit the site). The play was Super Funny. The theater was packed, the acting was wonderful, laughs perfectly timed, and the songs well sung.
Eowyn just got back from NYC with her dad, so at the intermission, she looks at me and says, "This is good, but nothing compared to Broadw-...."
I silenced her at this point. "I'm sure Broadway was amazing. Yes, this is a small town production, but they are doing an awesome job." Giggles all around as we admonished her to say no more about Broadway until after the show was over.
As soon as we walked out of the theater......"That was good, but Broadway was way better."
Groan/stifled laughter as we walked back to the car, making a few stops at some stores trying to find a restroom, which finally ending in the visitors center, which we passed at least twice. The trip home was filled with Christmas songs (hey, it was hot and we wanted to cool off), a stop at Racetrac for drinks and frozen yogurt for their family, and Jane Austen quotes. Oh, and my being told I MUST see Our Mutual Friend. The final decision was that we are going to have a movie weekend in the near future. That will require a post or two!
Have a wonderful week! Next post: "The Spotlight is on........"

Had a great time with you guys!! It was a great show, yes.... BUT... NOTHING COMPARED TO- OUCH!! : D
And it's only mildly disturbing that I knew EXACTLY what you were talking about when you said, "Hey, have you written your post-" and I said, "No." Poor Randi and Arwen were like, "......" XD
One more thing.....
THE SCARECROWS ARE COMING!!!!!!!
-Eowyn: The One Who Went to NYC-
AHHHHHH!!!!! *Runs to closet and hids
(for all wondering, we kept seeing scarecrows holding signs all around Downtown Dahlonega. It got a little creepy after the third time.)
I agree. It's just a little disturbing-we must know each other's trains of thought REALLY well to be able to finish them like that..... :D
