Well, if you're like my family, you probably had 3. We got together with my dad's family on Christmas Eve and then to our church's Christmas Eve Service. We had our own family Christmas the next day, and just finished getting together with my mom's family this afternoon. And we still are trying to figure out when to get together with my mom's brother and his family!
But I don't really mind having Christmas spread out like this. When I was younger we saw my dad's family on Christmas Eve, had our own family gift exchange Christmas morning, and then rushed around getting everything ready for Mom's family to come over that evening. Needless to say, we were pretty busy during the week before Christmas. Now, we get together with Dad's family either the Sunday before Christmas or Christmas Eve and Mom's family the Sunday after. This helps spread things out so we don't feel so rushed to get done and have food ready before they show up. More importantly, we are able to slow down and remember the REAL reason we celebrate Christmas; God's only Son coming to Earth so that He could later die for us.
Have a great year and never forget: Christmas is year-round, not just a month.
