These are the two 9x9 pillows.
The other is made of the same cloth.
I gave one to my uncle as a birthday present Sunday. He was so impressed, he offered to pay me to 3 more, each 16x16! I agreed in shock.
What happened to the other two pillows? The remaining 9x9 will be given to a cousin as a birthday present as well. I'm keeping the larger one :)
With the order of 3 full sized pillows, I began actively looking at sewing machines and comparing reviews and prices. I learned to use a machine years ago at my Grandmother's house. I just need to do a quick review and familiarize myself with the machine, since my Grandmother's is quite old. I decided that a Singer machine would be my best bet as far as price and reliability were concerned. While looking on Amazon, my mom said she had seen a Singer machine at Aldi's for less than $100. I went to look at it and ended up buying it, as well as fabric for the pillows.
Today I cut out the fabric for the pillows, which is the same as the above pillows. My uncle is also into photography and likes the vintage cameras.
These are going to be huge pillows.
I just need to land on a fair price now.
If these pillows turn out well, I will start taking orders for more pillows, maybe even set up an Etsy shop.... Who knows? Only time will tell how this venture goes... In any case, I now have a machine to use for costume making!
