One thing I really love about this time of year is Easter. Celebrating my new life in Christ is a continual celebration, but I am especially thankful at Easter.
Is the look of Him who died
The lamb I crucified
And now, my life will sing the praise
Of pure atoning GRACE
That looked on me and
GLADLY took my place*
(emphasis added)
This is the Gospel: GOD sent His perfect Son to die for us, that we might know and enjoy a personal relationship with GOD. And Jesus did this willingly. Yes, He did ask in the Garden that the cup be taken away, but only if His Father so chose. Jesus did not rebel or go grudgingly. He did it with joy, fully knowing we would choose to let a murdered go and crucify Him, a Man who had done nothing wrong.
May this Easter be an especially good one to you and yours.
