If you are anything like me, you enjoy reading books. And, if you read books, you no doubt come across lines from said books that stick in your head. Well, I want to share a couple quotes that I have read and have stuck with me. The first is from Louisa May Alcott's 'Little Men':
For Love is a flower that grows in any soil, works its sweet miracles undaunted by autumn frost or winter snow, blooming fair and fragrant all the year, and blessing those who give and those who receive.
The next qoute is from 'Princess Ben'. I read a review a few months ago on Charity's blog. Well-written and very enjoyable.
Every fairy tale, it seems, concluded with the bland phrase 'happily ever after'. Yet every couple I have ever known wold agree that nothing about marriage is forever happy. There are moments of bliss, to be sure, and lengthy spans of satisfied companionship. Yet these come at no small effort, and the girl who reads such fiction dreaming her troubles will end ere she departs the alter is well advised to seek at once a rational woman to set her straight.
Delightfully realistic, don't you think? Please tell me your thoughts on these quotes. Do you have any favorite quotes to share? Maybe I should do a post on your quotes!?
