It's beginning to feel like fall!! I love the colors, but not so much the cold. If anyone knows where I can have the colors of fall and the warmth of late spring, please tell me so I can start planning a trip!
So, what am I reading lately? Currently, "The Meeting Place" by T.Davis Bunn and Janette Oke. This is the last in a series called "Song of Acadia" and takes place in Canada before and during the American Revolution. This series is followed by the series "Heirs of Acadia", written by Bunn and his wife, Isabella. These two series follow two families, one French and the other English. The two wives meet on their wedding day and form a lasting friendship. However, when the families swap baby daughters so the French baby can see an English doctor, the French colony is forced to leave Canada and settle in Louisiana. The remaining books follow the two families, their offspring and friends during the years after the Revolution and War of 1812.
I am also starting to work on a cross stitch sampler depicting Jeremiah 29:11. I have picked out a border and the colors and will start it tomorrow! On my next post, I'll show you two of my past samplers that I have finished over the past 2 years. I think they are my hardest yet!
