May I Present...?

OK, sorry for not posting lately; life's been busy. So, let me tell you my latest accomplishment: I drove to the McKenzie's house on Wednesday! That was an experience!

Anyway...I have a new TV show that my parents have gotten us four older ones (Coleton, Samuel, Miranda, and me) hooked on. It isn't playing on TV anymore, so we watch it on a laptop one of my dad's friends from work gave us (tax deductible thing because it was donated to a "school"). My mom and dad watched it when they first got married, so it's been about 22 years since it stopped playing. What is it called? Why, Beauty and the Beast, of course!

Before you start going, "Oh, please, they made a TV show off of the movie!", let me share some history about this show with you. It takes place in New York City in the 1980's (While the Disney movie wasn't made until 1991) , and only played for five seasons. The basic story is that this woman, Catherine, loves this man/beast names Vincent, who lives with his adoptive father in a city of outcasts underneath N.Y. C. They work together to help people and stop evil. Warning: Vincent is a "telepathic/E.S.P." kind of guy, so he is able to "feel" Catherine's emotions. This helps him know when she is in trouble, so he can go rescue her. There are some parts where I rolled my eyes at the silliness of Catherine and Vincent. there is one scene in the second episode where Catherine tells Vincent that she feels "so happy" because they were able to help kids in a rotten foster home. Vincent says, "I know; I can feel it." Sappy, huh?

There is some language, but that's about it. We like it; but then, we're a family that likes old movies and TV shows. Enjoy.

Oh yeah, you can watch the first season at hulu.com. Type "beauty and the beast" in the search engine, and there you go!
